Over the four days of the Birds in Art Opening Experience, starting with the Members Preview on Thursday and Friday, September 7 and 8 there were 1,677 smiling faces including those of 58 exhibiting artists and their numerous guests

Though I’ve always had a love for plants, before working at the Woodson Art Museum, I didn’t think that I would have such fun creating a diverse habitat for birds through landscaping in my yard.

With this recent late winter thaw, soon to be covered again by this week’s snowstorm, the exposed grass outside my window offered many snacks to flocking birds. Live on the Woodson Art Museum’s website is an opportunity to pluck a tasty treat out of the springtime earth: submitting an artwork for consideration in the 2023 Birds in Art exhibition by the April 17 deadline.
