Birds amuse with their antics, invoke awe with their majesty, and provide endless artistic inspiration for artists throughout the world. Artists who strive to be among those chosen for this internationally renowned exhibition continually raise the bar of artistic achievement. The 38th annual Birds in Art exhibition celebrates avian marvels through fresh interpretations in original paintings, sculptures, and graphics created within the last two years by worldwide artists. Terry Miller, the 2013 Master Artist, draws what he sees in the world around him in various shades of black, white, and gray. His work has been selected for Birds in Art twenty-one times since 1991, his inaugural year. Miller works exclusively in various grades of graphite portraying textural contrasts of wood, stone, water, fur, feathers, and other natural elements, to bring depth, dimension, and emotion to his artworks. A fully illustrated catalogue accompanies Birds in Art and is available for purchase.
